Rimmel London // Chubs, Sticks and Crayons

CK Mug cover

I am super glad it’s the weekend, lazy Saturday and Sunday mornings are my favourite! Coffee, pancakes and Blogs. Perfect. My absolute favourite thing to do is chat to other bloggers and readers, whether its sharing beauty reviews, talking fitness or just chatting over our Cath Kidston morning coffee selfies, I really do love it and I’m so happy I created my blog. I almost didn’t take the plunge, worried I’d run out of ideas or that noone would read or subscribe but they did and last Sunday I exceeded 320 subscribers to my blog in just two months since launching. Thank you to anyone who has liked my social media, shared my post or subscribed to HappilyAnnie. In celebration, I thought I’d  share a mini Rimmel Haul with you all!

Mini Rimmel Haul

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow crayon

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Shadow Stick £4.49 // In my last beauty post I featured the W7 chunky eyes crayon collection and I loved them, so I decided to pick a few more. W7 cosmetics aren’t, as far as I know, avaliable in many of our UK highstreet stores so I went for my trusted favourite highstreet brand Rimmel London. These cream shadow sticks have a precision tip applicator that allows for a quick, smooth application with no tug or pull on your eyelids. The high shine and strong pigments can be applied once for a subtle tint or layered for a bold finish. I find that the cream sticks work perfectly with compressed powder shades and loose powder if youre looking to mix shades, so be scared to pick up a brush and palette also. This is in the shade 011 Bluffing.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Kate Lipsticks

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick £5.49 // This will be no suprise, I love the Kate Lipsticks but having stayed with the matt nude and berry shades throughout the Autumn/Winter months I decided to explore the wider  selection of bold shades avaliable. I picked up the 02 and 28 because these seemed like the most appropriate as we move towards Spring/ Summer. The 02 is a very intense pink: I mix a lot of my pink shade with a nude base for daily wear, I’m always too scared to go full on pink but I’m going to give this one a go solo today. Step outside my colour comfort zone.

Rimmel Colour Rush Lips balms / Chubs

Rimmel London Colour Rush Balm £5.99 // I’ve had a few chub sticks in darker shades previosly, but not Rimmel (I dont think), I decided to get the more subtle shades from the Colour Rush Balm range and picked up the 710 Drive Me Nude and 110 Make Me Blush which claim to provide moisturising long lasting lip colour. Perfect for a subtle lip tint and if you want a stronger colour just apply a couple of coats. I dont find that these last as long in terms of hourly wear as the Lipsticks but they are super hydrating and glossy.

I hope you enjoyed the post, I know its payday weekend for a lot of us so if you have a haul of your own, let me know what you pick up! I’m still undecided on the  Lipstick – definitely outside of my usual shades but I’m all over trying new things lately. If you’re stepping outside you’re colour comfort zone for Spring, take a pic and post it to my Facebook or Twitter page, I’d love to see your new looks. Have a great weekend!
